What pedestrians look like to a radar transceiver
The radar display visible here depicts what show-goers wandering around the exhibit area look like to an NXP S32R27 radar microcontroller chipset. The demo is of a short-range 77 GHz radar setup using fast modulation technology which could give object distances and speeds relative to the sensor. The display could show not only the location of show-floor pedestrians but also their direction of travel and how fast they were walking. If the radar was used in a real ADAS, it would work with a camera for object identification, classification, and tracking.
