TDK Corporation has added 1200 W models to its CUS-M series of AC-DC power supplies, extending the line from 30 W to 1500 W. The new CUS1200M units measure 187 x 93 mm with a 42.5 mm profile and use a variable-speed fan that produces 30 dBA at light loads and 42 dBA at full load.
The supplies operate from 85 to 265 Vac input and deliver full power at 90 Vac, with output choices of 24 V, 36 V, and 48 V. Standard features include a 5 V 2 A standby voltage, remote on/off, remote sense, and a power good signal. Efficiencies up to 95.5 percent reduce heat, supporting operation across -20 °C to +70 °C with linear derating at higher temperatures. Typical off-load power consumption is less than 0.6 W in standby mode.
Designed for applications in medical, dental, test and measurement, broadcast, and industrial equipment, the series provides 4000 Vac input-to-output isolation and leakage current below 250 µA. The models are rated for use at altitudes up to 5000 meters and carry a five-year warranty.
Certifications include IEC/EN/ES 60601-1 and IEC/EN/UL 62368-1, with CE and UKCA markings. The supplies also meet EMC and immunity standards, including EN 55011-B, EN 55032-B, EN 61000-3-2, IEC 60601-1-2 Edition 4, and IEC 61000-4.
