1U-format, rack-mount power system puts out -48 Vdc, includes remote monitoring, hot-swappable high-efficiency rectifiers

September 14, 2017 By Aimee Kalnoskas Leave a Comment

UNIPOWER LLC today announced the Aspiro 1U is a compact, integrated, ETSI rack mounted DC power system for use in the North American market.  This power system, providing an output of -48VDC, includes multiple features including remote monitoring and control, hot-swappable high-efficiency rectifiers, a field replaceable controller, and an LCD display.

“In mission-critical environments, it is imperative for power systems to stay online, report any potential problems and not lose the integrity of its application,” said Vice President of Marketing John Ely.  “The Aspiro 1U incorporates advanced technology and leading-edge features that will ensure all DC loads are able to remain stable without interruption.”

Available immediately, the Aspiro 1U includes an industry leading three-year warranty and can accommodate the full Aspiro family of high efficiency hot-swap rectifiers. The rectifiers are internally fan cooled with speed control which is a function of load and temperature, keeping acoustic noise to a minimum. The Aspiro 1U family features a low power version fitted with a 20A shunt to provide improved management of small batteries

The DC output circuits can provide up to four loads with breakers rated from 1A to 30A, or up to 10 15A GMT fuses. An additional breaker provides battery protection and a programmable low voltage battery disconnect (LVD) is standard.
