650 Watt Medical Power Supplies Approved to UL60601-1 3rd Edition

January 10, 2012 By admin Leave a Comment

The PM650 Series’ of ac/dc power supplies from Protek Power offer up to 700 W of performance and are approved to the 3rd Edition of UL60601-1 and EN60601-1 medical safety standards. Units are also RoHS compliant. This 650W Series suits a variety of medical and dental applications, including patient vicinity medical devices. An ITE version of the Series is also available (PU650 Series).

The PM650 Series’ accept a 90-264 Vac universal input. Single output models have voltages ranging from 12 Vdc to 48 Vdc. A variety of dual and triple outputs are available with floating 3.3 Vdc, 5.1 Vdc, 12 Vdc, 15 Vdc, 24 Vdc and 48 Vdc configurations. Remote sensing is standard on output #1 and output #2. Units provide up to 350 W of power in convection cooled environments and up to 700 W with forced air (user provided or select the optional cover and fan that does not add to the product size).

The PM650 Series has efficiencies greater than 80%, remote inhibit, power fail detection, and 4000 Vac input-output isolation voltage. Comprehensive protection circuitry, including overvoltage, thermal protection and short circuit protection, is inherent in the design. Conducted EMC performance meets Level B standards and units have an MTBF of 300,000 hours at full load.

Units are economically priced, starting at $150.00 in OEM quantity, with delivery from stock to 12 weeks ARO.
