70 Watt Explosion Proof LED Light with an Adjustable Beam Clamp

Larson Electronics, an industrial lighting company, has announced the release of a 70 watt explosion proof LED light fixture mounted on an adjustable beam clamp to simplify mounting on existing beams.

The EPL-LP-70W-LED-HDBC-20-EPP beam clamp mounted LED fixture from Larson Electronics is weatherproof and comes with an adjustable aluminum mount that makes it ideal for industrial applications, maintenance, cleaning and servicing duties, and large hazardous work areas. This unit contains a 70 watt LED lamp that produces 6,000 lumens of light capable of illuminating an area of 5,000 square feet. This LED lamp produces illumination equivalent to a typical 400 watt halogen bulb while drawing only 70 watts at .59 amps on a 120V AC power source. The LED lamp runs cooler than a 400 watt halogen, resulting in an easier to manage light source while producing less heat in the workspace.

The lamp assembly on this unit includes a 70 watt LED lamp, internal driver and aluminum finish reflector in copper-free cast aluminum housing with a powder coat finish. The lens is constructed of thermal shock and impact resistant tempered glass and the housing contains threaded joints lubricated with non-drying lubricant. The solid state LEDs in this unit have no filament and are thus highly resistant to damage from shocks or impacts. The light is highly durable and produces high light in a wide flood pattern.

The mounting system for this adjustable flood light consists of a heavy duty bracket mount that allows for clamping around 4.5″ by 4.5″ objects. Two T-handles allow the operator to tighten each adjustment screw to clamp the mount to the beam, pipe, or other mounting surface. This unit is supplied with 20 feet of 16/3 SOOW cord ending in an explosion proof straight blade plug. All of the hardware on this unit is non-sparking/corrosion resistant and the cord is resistant to damage from chemicals and abrasion.

“The new mounting bracket for this light allows users to utilize existing beams in buildings and warehouses without making penetrations,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics. “Once the fixture has been securely mounted, the light head can be adjusted vertically or horizontally.”
