All-metal jumpers handle over 10 A current

November 10, 2025 By Redding Traiger Leave a Comment

Stackpole has introduced the MCJ Series of zero-ohm jumpers, designed to optimize circuit routing and simplify manufacturing in electronic assemblies. Unlike conventional thick-film jumpers, the MCJ Series uses an all-metal construction that significantly increases current-carrying capability, supporting continuous currents exceeding 10 amps.

This design allows engineers to use compact components without compromising electrical performance or thermal reliability. The series is fully AEC-compliant and offered in standard 0402, 0603, and 0805 surface-mount package sizes, providing compatibility with automated assembly processes and high-density layouts.

The MCJ Series combines high surge tolerance and mechanical robustness, enabling its use in applications requiring reliable low-resistance connections and stable performance under high-current or transient conditions. These features make it suitable for automotive, industrial, and power management systems where space and efficiency are critical.

Pricing for the MCJ0402, MCJ0603, and MCJ0805 parts ranges from $0.08 to $0.095 each in full reel quantities. Volume pricing is available through Stackpole and authorized distributors.
