APEC 2019 Industry Session will cover “Design Considerations and a Deep Dive into Capacitor Technologies”

February 14, 2019 By Lee Teschler Leave a Comment

The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) Capacitors Committee is sponsoring Industry Session IS08 at APEC2019 titled, “Design Considerations and a Deep Dive into Capacitor Technologies.” The session will take place on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:10 a.m. at the Anaheim Convention Center, Room 210A. The session will feature four experts from capacitor companies that serve the power electronics industries: KEMET, Cornell Dubilier Electronics, W. L. Gore and Associates and Wurth Electronik.

The Industry Session on capacitors will feature presentations covering high temperature psmaconsiderations for film and electrolytic capacitors, emerging supercapacitor technologies and ceramic capacitor technologies for higher power density converter applications

The Industry Session will be co-chaired by KEMET’s Wilmer Companioni and Fred Weber from Future Technology Worldwide. “Clearly, power electronics designers value practical application information and the APEC Industry Sessions are the perfect forum,” stated Weber. “This Industry Session will provide real-world insights into capacitor performance challenges facing designers of high-performance power supplies.”

Interested individuals are also invited to participate in the PSMA Capacitor Committee meeting on Tuesday, March 19th from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Anaheim Marriott, Platinum 9 Meeting Room to plan the committee program for the coming year.
