APEC 2019: Up close and personal with a low-profile power supply

May 1, 2019 By Lee Teschler Leave a Comment

Alex Karapetian from Acopian recently sat with us and discussed a new, low-profile switching supply that is a programmable, provides a 450-W output, and sits in a  low-profile housing. It’s offered both in single output and wide adjustable from 0 to 5 V, 0 to 135 Vdc, at 150W. It’s also a universal input device. It’s DIN-rail mountable, and provides a lot of power in a very small space, Karapetian says. It will mount horizontally, vertically, or can be wall-mounted as well.

There’s several options available for this supply as well. It can be paralleled with other supplies. It’s n+1 redundant-capable and Karapetian says it is a really nice unit for small spaces, especially in scenarios involving industrial use, aerospace, and even for general purposes. There’s also a larger version of this unit that puts out 720 W. The 720-W unit is bit larger but is still low-profile, and the same options apply.
