BF Rated 400 Watt Medical Power Supplies

December 3, 2012 By scombest Leave a Comment

The PM400 Series’ of AC/DC power supplies from Protek Power offer 400 watts of performance packed design and are approved to 3rd Edition UL60601-1 and EN60601-1 Type BF medical safety standards.  Units are also RoHS compliant.    This low profile 400W Series is ideal for a variety of medical and dental applications, including patient contact medical devices.

The PM400 Series’ accept a 90-264VAC universal input.  Single output models have voltages ranging from 12VDC to 48VDC, with a standby output of 5VDC @ 100mA.  The low profile, 4” x 7” x 1.58” footprint makes the PM400 Series’ an ideal choice for designs with low profile constraints.    Units provide 300W of power in convection-cooled environments and 400W with forced air (user provided or select the optional cover and fan that does not add to the product footprint).

Power-SUpply

The Series boasts high efficiencies greater than 88%, leakage currents as low as 300µA at 264VAC, and 4000VAC input-output isolation voltage. Comprehensive protection circuitry, including overvoltage and short circuit protection, is inherent in the design.  EMC Performance meets Level B standards and units have an MTBF of 350,000 hours at full load.
