Compact, low-profile, 750-W AC-DC supplies provide 900 W peak power

January 28, 2019 By Aimee Kalnoskas Leave a Comment

GSP750 series XP Power’s  GSP750 series of 750W continuous / 900W peak, AC-DC power supply units come in a low-profile, 1U-high chassis with a compact 4” x 10” footprint and offer a wealth of features along with class-leading efficiency. The peak power capability of 900W for up to 100ms offers the potential for reduced size and cost in systems employing motors and other electromechanical loads.

Special attention has been given to the GSP750 feature set, created to address many of the issues encountered by system designers when integrating higher power compact power solutions into medical devices, such as surgical, life support and imaging applications, as well as industrial and test & measurement equipment that requires high power density to save space and enable smaller and lighter end products.

Key features:

• Low Profile Compact Size – 254 x 101. x 41.9 mm (10 x 4 x 1.65”)
• Suitable for 1U applications
• 900W Peak Power Rating for up to 100ms with 10% duty cycle
• 5V/3A Always-On Standby Output
• Universal 80 – 264VAC Input, up to 300VAC for 5s
• IT/Industrial & Medical Safety Approvals
• <1.0W Standby Power When Remote Off Activated
• -40°C to +70°C Operation

The GSP750 series comprises a trio of models offering output voltages of 12, 24 and 48 VDC. The 5V standby supply is rated to 3 A, a key requirement in test and measurement applications and an increasing demand in today’s medical devices.

The extended AC input range, from 80VAC to 264Vac (300VAC for 5s), combined with -40°C to +70°C operation, class B conducted and radiated emissions, the very latest industrial & medical immunity standards and global safety agency approvals, makes the product ideal for truly global use in a vast range of environments and supports the most demanding healthcare market applications.
