The RNAN series from Stackpole Electronics is a family of thin film precision chip resistors that uses an aluminum nitride (AlN) substrate to improve thermal conductivity and support higher power handling than standard alumina-based thin film resistors. The series is designed to maintain low TCR, precision and long-term stability associated with nichrome thin film technology while helping manage hotspot temperatures in higher wattage applications. It is suited for precision industrial controls, medical instrumentation and automotive electronics where accuracy, thermal performance and power density are important.
