Compact New Power Supplies Deliver Big Features PROeco

August 11, 2014 By Jennifer Calhoon Leave a Comment

WeidmullerToday’s electrical control panels and machinery demand the best power supply performance available to ensure continuous and reliable operation. Weidmuller’s new PROeco power supply range offers compact, cost efficient designs and practical user features that make them an ideal choice for most factory and process installations.

The PROeco range of power supplies is available in both single- and three-phase units that accept a wide range of AC/DC inputs. An auto-detect feature on each module makes switching between ranges unnecessary. Outputs with 12, 24 or 48 VDC are available for loads up to 40A. A tri-colored LED provides local output status (indicating <90%/>90%/>100% load) and integral relay contacts provide remote status monitoring for easy detection and diagnosis of power issues.

PROeco power supplies feature efficiency levels of up to 93%, which contribute to their extended service life and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) rating of more than 500,000 hours. The extremely compact design, with a 100mm housing depth, makes them ideal for use in small enclosures. The operating temperature range of –25 °C to +50 °C (70° C with de-rating) and international approvals, including cULus, CE and TUV, make these robust power supplies suitable for use in a wide range of applications.
