Compact SMD UVC LEDs support UVGI designs

Marktech Optoelectronics has released 280 nm UVC LEDs, a series of single-, two-, and four-chip emitters in 3.5 × 3.5 mm to 7.0 × 7.0 mm SMD packages, with optical power ratings from 28 mW to 360 mW and forward current ratings from 100 mA to 700 mA depending on the device. The 280 nm series is intended for UVGI water purifiers, air disinfection systems and surface sanitizers, giving designers multiple output and package options for matching dose, space and power requirements in compact UVC systems. The devices are offered with viewing angles from 120° to 140° depending on configuration for greater design flexibility.
