The ModCap UHP (B25648A) series from TDK Corporation is a DC link capacitor family for SiC-based power inverters, supporting 1350 V to 1800 V DC ratings, 470 µF to 880 µF capacitance and 8 nH ESL with continuous operation at hotspot temperatures up to +105 °C without derating. The design uses a high-temperature dielectric and modular package to increase current density and extend operating life, helping reduce thermal constraints and simplify busbar integration in compact converters. Target applications include renewable energy converters and energy storage systems, railway auxiliary drives and industrial motor drives where high-frequency performance and long service life are required.
