Low oil-bleed/specific-gravity gap filler pad material in sheets, custom shapes

June 28, 2021 By Lee Teschler Leave a Comment

Sarcon GR14B from Fujipoly is a low oil-bleed/specific-gravity gap filler pad material that is offered in sheets or custom shapes to fit your exact application.  This material is a candidate for cost-sensitive, lower-power applications that do not require high conductivity. When placed between heat-generating components and a nearby heatsink, this 0.5mm thick, highly conformable gap filler pad can transfer heat with a thermal conductivity of 1.4 W/m•K while exhibiting a thermal resistance of 0.60° C•in 2/W at 14.5 PSI.

To improve material handling and ease of installation, Sarcon GR-14B is available in your choice of twofujipoly constructions: double tacky surface or hardened surface on one side for more complex assemblies. This special treatment can dramatically reduce elongation, tearing and damage during cutting and final assembly. It also allows for a more controlled release during re-work.

Sarcon GR14B is a UL94 V-0 material that is designed for operational environments that range from -40 to +150°C. Customers can order this product in sheets up to 300×200 mm or simply specify an exact size or die-cut shape.

A frequency you can count on There are few constants in life, but what few there are might include death, taxes, and a U.S. grid frequency that doesn’t vary by more than ±0.5 Hz. However, the certainty of the grid frequency is coming into question, thanks to the rising percentage of renewable energy sources that…
