There were a number of papers presented at APEC on wireless charging, both the inductive style and through use of resonance frequencies. Exhibition displays on the subject included this prototype created by researchers at the Oak Ridge National Lab. It measures about two-feet square and is said to transfer about 2.2 kW through inductive coupling.
