Looks like a car battery but it’s really LiFe
Want a conversation piece instead of an ordinary 12-V lead acid car battery? Try installing one of these U1LiFe batteries from Inventus Power which makes and integrates battery packs, chargers and docking stations and power supplies for a variety of markets. The particular model visible here is for medical carts. And actually, you probably wouldn’t want to put one of these in your car because it lacks some of the usual performance specs associated with car batteries such as cold cranking amps. But it makes sense for medical uses, says Inventus Power business development manager Jeff Helm, because it weighs only about a third as much as a lead-acid equivalent and has about ten-times the life cycle as well. Other features include multiple communication platforms including I2C and SMBus, and customized safety circuity.
