Capacitors for vehicular apps

united chemi conUnited Chemi-Con says it is North America’s largest manufacturer of aluminum electrolytic capacitors, and it provides caps that comply with AEC-Q200 reliability test standard for passive components in automotive applications. The standard specifies the test type, parameters and quantity, and so forth for each component. One of the electrolytic caps it displayed was this beefy 4,400 μF device held here by Nick Lehman. Also on display was a cap used in air bag modules.
