The EZ-USB™ FX2G3 from Infineon Technologies AG is a USB 2.0 peripheral controller designed for high-speed data transfer, integrated security, and efficient power management in embedded USB devices. The controller supports USB Hi-Speed operation up to 480 Mbps, includes serial communication blocks, a hardware crypto engine and a high-bandwidth DMA data path with 1024 KB of on-chip SRAM for buffering. It targets applications such as biometric systems, medical devices, industrial automation, robotics and consumer electronics where reliable, secure USB connectivity is required.
