Coilcraft has expanded its CMA family of high-isolation common mode chokes for power line EMI suppression in automotive and industrial systems. The CMA series consists of surface-mount toroidal common mode chokes engineered with high current capability, high-frequency noise attenuation, and elevated isolation voltage, supporting conducted common-mode noise suppression up to 100 MHz.
The chokes are rated with a winding-to-winding hipot of 1500 Vrms and support continuous current up to approximately 8.2 A, making them suitable for power electronics circuits such as inverters, motor drives, onboard chargers, and other high-current power line applications.
AEC-Q200 qualification ensures component reliability for automotive environments, and the surface-mount design assists integration into compact PCBs where space is limited. The series complements other high-isolation choke families in Coilcraft’s portfolio and is applicable to industrial and telecom power conversion systems where suppression of conducted EMI and robust isolation are required.
