High-voltage power supply supports semiconductor manufacturing

April 10, 2025 By Redding Traiger Leave a Comment

XP Power’s range of 750W high voltage power solutions offers the flexibility and control demanded by semiconductor applications. The units will be of particular interest to electrical design engineers and system integration engineers working in ion implantation, e-beam welding and e-beam additive manufacturing, cyclotron as well as many other application sectors.

The FT series helps engineers with limited high voltage experience and tight project deadlines. Housed in a compact 19” rack 1U package, the new devices halve the height of many solutions already on the market, meeting the increasing demand for low profile solutions.

Offering output voltage models of up to 60kV at 750W in both positive and negative polarities, the FT series allows both current and voltage to be programmed from 0 to 100%, offering the highest level of flexibility to address a wide range of loads.

A variety of included control interfaces, such as local, analogue, and RS232/USB digital, ease the process of integration with almost all systems. Ethernet is also an easy-to-specify option.

FT series units offer efficiency levels of up to 90%. This reduces operating costs and helps drive towards carbon-neutral goals while also minimising heat generation, allowing use in space-constrained applications.

All FT units are air-insulated which makes the units lightweight and allows them to run cooler than competing units that are potted — thereby keeping component temperatures down and increasing life expectancy. Air-insulated products are also easy to maintain as they can be repaired at the discrete component level, saving cost and eliminating waste.

All FT series units are CE marked for EMC and the low voltage directive (LVD) as well as meeting RoHS requirements and key safety standards such as EN61010/IEC61010. A three-year warranty is offered as standard, giving confidence in the robust nature of these compact and versatile power solutions.

The FT series is available directly from XP Power.
