A custom Smart Integrated Magnetics device from Exxelia integrates the transformer and inductor of a dual active bridge into a single magnetic assembly for isolated DC-DC conversion in space-grade power conditioning and distribution units. Designed for 1 to 2 kW operation at 100 to 200 kHz, the solution achieves close to 99% efficiency in a low-profile 75 × 65 × 20 mm package, addressing volume, mass, thermal, and mechanical constraints typical of space environments.
