Low power supply line offers universal AC input and PFC design

November 12, 2025 By Redding Traiger Leave a Comment

Acopian Technical Company has introduced the Low Profile 2 series of switching regulated power supplies designed for use in applications requiring compact, high-power performance. The units provide up to 900 watts of single-output AC-DC or DC-DC power and operate with a universal AC input range. Each model includes power factor correction, remote sensing, programmable voltage and current, and both constant voltage and constant current modes.

The Low Profile 2 units incorporate built-in output enable, “Vout OK” monitoring, soft-start operation, and do not require a minimum load. Protection features include short-circuit and overload protection, thermal shutdown, EMI filtering, and RFI shielding. The supplies also support N+1 redundant and parallel configurations for increased current capacity.

The series is intended for applications in process control, factory automation, telecommunications, audio-visual systems, scientific research, aerospace, and other industrial or laboratory environments. All models are made in Easton, Pennsylvania, and include a five-year warranty. They are available directly from Acopian and authorized distributors, with datasheets and CAD resources accessible on the company’s website.
