Modular DAQ system supports GPS and PTP synchronization

B&K Precision has introduced the DAS1820 portable high-speed data acquisition system, a compact dual-slot recorder that uses the same D18 plug-and-play module ecosystem as the DAS1800. The system supports simultaneous sampling up to 1 MSa/s per channel for up to 8 channels with compatible modules, measures up to ±1500 VDC or 1000 Vrms with CAT III 1500 V and CAT IV 1000 V ratings, and records to a standard 500 GB internal SSD with an optional battery for up to 4 hours of field operation. It also supports up to three concurrent sampling rates with independent MDF4 file recording, power analysis for DC, single-phase and 3-phase networks and timing synchronization via PTP (IEEE 1588), IRIG and GPS on the DAS1820-SYNC model.
