Nickel-metal-hydride batteries work at high temperatures

June 28, 2018 By Lee Teschler Leave a Comment

A high-temperature, long life type Nickel Metal Hydride battery (BK1100FHU has an ambient discharge range of -30° C to 85° C). It also has a minimum rated capacity of11,000 mAh. This battery is suitable for applications requiring high capacity and a wide range of temperatures. This product is a candidate for a variety of markets and applications, such as Renewable Energy applications (including Solar Street Lights), tracking,
underwater applications, and power sources.

Panasonic will apply its technical expertise and superior technology to further expand the high temperature panasonic nickel metal hydrideline-up of this kind of product. Panasonic rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride batteries are designed to meet the requirement for increasingly higher levels of energy demanded by today’s products. Our Nickel Metal Hydride batteries offer up to three times the capacity of same size standard Nickel Cadmium batteries. Due to their increased capacity and energy density features, users can expect a longer run time between charges and long life.

For more information on Panasonic’s battery product line, or a list of our authorized Nickel Metal Hydride pack assemblers, send an inquiry to oembatteries@us.panasonic.com.
