Reed relays support data acquisition and IC testing with 8 GHz performance

March 26, 2025 By Redding Traiger Leave a Comment

Standex Electronics has announced the enhanced capacity of its U Series of High-Frequency Density Reed Relays, manufactured by its renowned Sanyu 3U Brand from Japan. This series is designed to meet the growing demands for miniaturization and high-frequency performance in applications such as Automated Test Equipment (ATE), telecommunications, and wireless markets.

The U Series is the smallest SMD reed relay, with a compact size of 7.95 x 4.67 x 3.6mm, providing a significant advantage for ultra-high-density assembly. Its J-Lead design further enhances space efficiency by saving about 10% in mounting area compared to similar products.

Engineered for superior performance, the U Series excels in high-frequency applications, offering a bandwidth of up to 8GHz for RF and pulse switching. It ensures superior signal integrity, enhanced high-speed and high-frequency performance, and extended reliability through advanced manufacturing techniques.

Manufactured by Standex’s reputable Sanyu 3U Brand, each unit is thoroughly tested for reliability and performance. The U Series operates quickly, with a maximum operating time of 0.25 msec and a release time of 0.05 msec. It has low power consumption, low insertion loss, high isolation, wide bandwidth, low contact resistance, low capacitance, and high insulation resistance. Ideal applications include high RF wireless, automated test equipment, fast pulse switching, VLSI testers, data acquisition, telecommunications, and IC wafer testing.

The Sanyu 3U Brand ensures the highest quality through advanced environmental testing and rigorous 100% testing with ATE. The company’s design engineering and manufacturing experts, along with ISO 9001:2015 certification, guarantee a product that meets the most demanding requirements.
