The Bourns 1202-P series of MOV-based circuit protectors feature built-in thermal protection that safely opens in the event of overheating caused by abnormal overvoltage or Temporary Overvoltage (TOV) conditions. The devices are IP66/NEMA 4X rated, which lets you use the same device in both indoor and outdoor applications. As a Type 1 SPD, the devices require no external line fusing or circuit breaker, and can be placed on the line side of the main service disconnect.The Bourns 1202-P Series is available now in a 120 VRMS version as well as a 120/240 V split-phase version, and both are RoHS compliant and listed to UL 1449 5th Edition.
