Touchscreen controllers support automotive displays from 2 to 42 inches

The ATMXT3072M1-HC and ATMXT288M1 from Microchip Technology are automotive-qualified touchscreen controllers in the maXTouch® M1 family designed to support display sizes ranging from 2 inches to 42 inches, including free-form widescreen formats. Based on Microchip’s Smart Mutual™ touch acquisition technology, the controllers improve touch signal-to-noise ratio by up to 15 dB and enable reliable touch detection on OLED and microLED displays with high capacitive loads and display noise. These devices target automotive cockpit applications such as digital clusters, center information displays and compact auxiliary screens, helping OEMs simplify system design while supporting emerging display technologies.
