3 – 40-W dc/dc converters carry high isolation voltage spec

November 8, 2021 By Lee Teschler Leave a Comment

The TEN-WIRH range of 3~40-W high-reliability dc-dc converters feature compact and fully encapsulated footprints with an ultra-wide, 4:1 input range of 36~160 Vdc.

The TEN-WIRH series includes five power platforms covering 3/6/10/20/40-W power levels with single and dual outputs ranging 3 ~ 24 tracoVdc and high efficiency operation up to 90%. All models feature 3,000 Vac reinforced I/O Isolation; an internal filter for EN 50121-3-2 compliance (EMC for Rolling Stock) and meet EN55032 Class A Emissions (conducted & radiated); Remote on/off control; and embedded protection from under-voltage input, short-circuit, over-temperature and over-voltage conditions. Single output models have a minimum ±10% output adjustment range. The proven and certified design guarantees highest resistance against thermal shocks, moisture, mechanical shocks, and vibration. With an extended operating temperature range of -40 up to +95°C without derating (depending on the series/model) makes them ideal for harsh environment applications in both railway and industrial applications.

All models are EN 50155 certified which includes EN 61373 for mechanical shock and vibration and EN 45545-2 for fire behavior. The TEN-WIHR series are IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 approved for IT & industrial electronics equipment and supported with a three-year product warranty.

CURRENT DIGITAL ISSUE

A frequency you can count on There are few constants in life, but what few there are might include death, taxes, and a U.S. grid frequency that doesn’t vary by more than ±0.5 Hz. However, the certainty of the grid frequency is coming into question, thanks to the rising percentage of renewable energy sources that…
