UltraVolt unveils High-Voltage DC/DC Power Supplies with interface options

July 12, 2011 By admin Leave a Comment

UltraVolt Inc. (www.ultravolt.com), one of the leading manufacturers of standard-product DC-to-DC high-voltage power supplies in the world, has announced that it has optimized its high-voltage power supply line by including two improved interface options that are currently offered on the High Power C Series and the AA Series — the -I10 Option and the -I5 Option.

Designed to meet the demands of high-voltage power supply (HVPS) customers, the -I5 and -I10 Options have been optimized for connecting the HVPS to programmable logic controllers (PLC) and computers in capital equipment and process systems that are generally standardized on zero to +5VDC and +10VDC controls and signals.

With a programming accuracy of ±1%, the options feature buffered, low-output impedance voltage and current monitors. The new interfaces also come with constant voltage, constant current (CVCC) auto-crossover as well as current and voltage mode indicators.

Optimized for a vast variety of applications, the -I5 Option and -I10 Option are suitable for use by of high-voltage power supply design engineers. It can be utilized in various applications, such as detectors, bias supplies, amplifiers, piezo actuators, lasers, photomultiplier tubes (PMT), pulsed power, cap-chargers, test equipment, pulse generators, automated test equipment (ATE), high pot testers and electrostatic precipitators

“I am thrilled UltraVolt can continue to offer options that fulfill needs of our customers, especially when we can simplify their design process!” remarked James Morrison, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer.

“We are firm in our commitment of Making High Voltage Easier, and with options such as these, we can also deliver Higher Service and Higher Performance, two of our core values.”
