WAGO EPSITRON Power Supply with UPS Controller

November 21, 2013 By Jennifer Calhoon Leave a Comment

WAGOWAGO recently expanded its EPSITRON® family to include a Power Supply with integrated UPS Controller. The compact 787-1675 combines two core functions – a standard single-phase power supply with an uninterruptable power supply (UPS) controller – into one unit, saving panel space and reducing cost. Completely reliable with local and remote monitoring and temperature-controlled charging in three stages, the 787-1675 can be used across a variety of applications.

EPSITRON®s UPS products offer battery status and extended battery life utilizing the following features:

  • Temperature Compensation – Offers actual temperature sensor feedback for optimal charging.
  • Battery Control – Provides status of battery condition and advanced warning of battery life.

WAGO also offers free software for simple configuration and convenient monitoring. Additionally, a built-in serial port allows connection to the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM, or another PLC, for remote monitoring.

The power supply accepts a range of 85V to 264V AC input and provides backup battery power to loads up to 5 amps at 24V DC. EPSITRON®s two-in-one unit supplies the 24V DC necessary for electrical machines and automation systems along with back-up power from the UPS, preventing unpredictable shut-downs due to power outages or power dips. Furthermore, the 787-1675 has an operating temperature for a wide variety of applications at -25°C to +70°C and is 89 percent efficient.
