IntelliPower, Inc., the foremost supplier of rugged, back-up power protection solutions for the military, announced the launch of one of its most versatile UPS systems for DoD shipboard applications. The 6000 VA, 4200 W unit is designed with dual voltage output capability of both 115 VAC @ 1360 Watts and 208 VAC at 2840 Watts and includes an automatic bus transfer function that allows the connection of the two vital sources of power on board the ship to electronic equipment, i.e., port and starboard power. In the event of a voltage disturbance or catastrophic outage, power is automatically transferred without interruption from one source to the other.
“Due to mission-critical system requirements on board military ships, the need for seamless, continuous, automated UPS systems are essential when power failure is not an option,” said Bill Shipman, president and CEO of IntelliPower. “We have almost 3 decades of experience meeting the Navy and other MIL-STDs required for rugged, military applications and are proud to be part of these technological advances to our military fleet.”
