Board Mount 15W to 60W AC-DC Power Supplies Have Medical and ITE Certifications

July 29, 2016 By Jennifer Calhoon Leave a Comment

TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the TDK-Lambda KMS-A 15W to 60W board mount AC-DC medical and ITE certified power supplies. Capable of starting up at -40oC, the convection cooled units will operate in ambient temperatures of up to 80oC and are rated for full load over a -30 to 50oC range. The KMS-A series is designed for use in a wide range of medical and industrial applications, including dental, home healthcare and test and measurement.

The encapsulated series comprises of three power levels: 15W, 30W and 60W and five output voltages: 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V and 24V. The 15W models measure 52.5 x 27.5 x 23.5mm, the 30W 64.0 x 45.0 x 23.5mm and the 60W models 89.0 x 63.5 x 27.0mm. Rated for Class II operation, the KMS-A requires no earth ground connection.

The KMS-A series accepts an input voltage of 90 to 264Vac and requires no external input filtering components. Efficiencies are up to 89% and have an off-load power draw of

Input to output isolation is 4kVAC, 2 x MOPPs, with all models certified to UL/CSA/IEC/EN 60950-1, ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1, IEC/EN 60601-1 and carrying the CE mark for the Low Voltage and RoHS2 Directives. All units meet EN55011-B conducted & radiated emissions and IEC 61000-6-2 and IEC 61000-4 immunity standards.
