LED Explosion Proof Light with Pedestal Base or Magnetic Mount

April 30, 2012 By Natasha Townsend Leave a Comment

The EPL-MB-161M-100 explosion proof LED light with aluminum base and magnetic mounting bracket produces 10,000 lumens and is designed to allow operators to use it as a portable pedestal mounted work light or a temporarily mounted area light. Non-sparking aluminum construction and an explosion proof LED lamp assembly provides high power light output and light weight portability, while a separate magnetic mounting bracket allows attaching the light to metal surfaces such as metal doors and machinery.

The LED light provides operators in hazardous locations with a highly versatile, yet powerful lighting solution for larger workspaces. The basic pedestal mount design allows operators to use the lamp as a portable work area light that can be simply place on any flat surface and plugged in for fast and convenient illumination. Increasing versatility; however, through the inclusion of a magnetic mounting bracket allows users to attach the bracket to any flat metallic surface, hang the lamp assembly from the bracket, and produce a temporarily mounted work area light that can be attached to tank or trailer walls, machinery, and similar metal surfaces. The magnetic mounting bracket is fitted with four 200 lbs grip magnets, providing a total of 800 lbs of grip for secure placement preventing slip or shift position. The mounting bracket and lamp pedestal frame are constructed from heavy non-sparking aluminum, providing lightweight and great durability. The lamp measures 16 in. in diameter and is a 150 W unit that produces 10,000 lumens of intense light with a 60,000 hour expected lamp in a wide flood pattern. The lamp is vertically adjustable and can be positioned to the desired angle by loosening two T handle screws on either side of the fixture, then retightening the screws.

Added value and convenience is provided in the form of 25 included Mylar peel off lens covers that allow operators to simply peel off and replace the covers as the lens becomes clouded with dirt and dust. The light is Class 1 Division 1 & 2, Class 2 Division 1 & 2 approved, and includes 100 feet of SOOW cord terminated in a 1523 explosion proof straight blade plug for positive and secure connection to power sources. These explosion proof lights are ideal for industrial areas such as power plants, petroleum refineries, ship yards, mining, and anywhere portable yet powerful explosion proof illumination is needed.
