PoE Texas has released the PoE Tester Gen2, a major redesign to their inline voltage and current tester for Power over Ethernet. In approaching the redesign, the PoE Texas team worked hard to incorporate the details customers loved about the original PoE Tester while making the device smaller, simpler, and smarter.
The new tester’s ability to automatically test 4-pair Power over Ethernet along with upgrades in case design and display quality, make the PoE Tester Gen2 an essential tool for IT professionals and installers.
The PoE Tester Gen2retails for $59.95 and is now available at www.poetexas.com and Amazon.com.
A new curved case design that’s 25% smaller than the original PoE Tester makes the GEN2 easier to hold and use in every situation and a new scrolling LCD displays more information at once and can be read in full daylight.
Thanks to automatic mode and polarity detection, the new GEN2 requires only one RJ45 input and has 4-pair testing capability makes the GEN2 ready for the new IEEE 802.3bt PoE standard.
The increased testing range measures DC power supply voltages from 3.5 to 56 volts and current up to 280 watts at 56 volts.
