300W ultra low profile, slim design sign panel power supply

October 22, 2014 By Megan Hollis Leave a Comment

MEAN WELL is pleased to unveil the ultra low profile, slim design sign panel power supply with up to 300W rated-power, HSN-300 series. HSN-300 series adopts the 31mm ultra low profile design and the width is 81mm only, allowing the dimension and weight of the sign panel module to be lowered, lessening the manufacture cost as well as relieving the inconvenience from installation. This series incorporates the non-PFC design, achieving a high efficiency up to 86% with a low cost, that the system performance is enhanced so both energy saving and electricity expense reduction can be fulfilled.

The whole series comprises two types of different input range: the A-Type accepts 90~132VAC and the B-Type accepts 180~264VAC. The output side supplies 4.2VDC and 5VDC, making HSN-300 work with both the old and new generations of the sign panel driver ICs, greatly raising the system design flexibility. HSN-300 exploits a fanless design; when firmly mounted on an aluminum plate or the cabinet of sign panel module (minimal size 450 x 450 x 3 mm), this series can work at -20℃ through +70℃ with free air convection. This series is also certified for UL60950-1, assuring the usage safety. Other major product features and built-in standard functions include conformal coating on PCB, LED indicator for power on, short circuit protection, overload protection, over voltage protection, and over temperature protection. Suitable applications include indoor and outdoor LED electronic signage, LED moving signs, LED TV walls, and etc.
