You’re looking at an induction motor created by Clean Wave Technologies, founded by two former Tesla Motors engineers in San Jose, Calif.
Motors from Clean Wave are mainly water cooled. This feature apparently lets the motors be considerably smaller and lighter than more conventional induction motors. The unit here puts out 135 kW peak, 80 kW continuous and is said to be 93% efficient while coming in at a weight of 58 kg (about 128 lb.).
