Rechargeable Intrinsically Safe LED Head Lamp

October 4, 2016 By Jennifer Calhoon 1 Comment

larson-led-head-lampLarson Electronics, a company that specializes in industrial lighting equipment, has announced the release of a new rechargeable LED head lamp made for use in hazardous locations where gases, vapors, and various dusts exist.

The EXP-LED-HL-MSHA intrinsically safe LED headlight from Larson Electronics produces an intense light beam while providing up to 15 hours of illumination on a full charge. This head lamp is constructed with a single high output LED emitter that produces a light beam capable of reaching over 450 feet. The 65 lumen beam remains consistently bright, with no visible dimming for the entire run-time. A single 2,600 mAh rechargeable lithium battery powers the headlamp for 15 hours in high mode and up to 60 hours in low mode.

This work light is constructed of an impact resistant engineered polymer that has been drop tested from two meters, an unbreakable polycarbonate lens with a scratch resistant coating, and an IP68 waterproof rating tested at one meter. The headlamp is attached by sliding the cap clip onto the bill of the hat. This headlight provides users with a highly convenient and safe light source that leaves their hands free for work operations and is ideal for a wide variety of uses including public works, law enforcement, automotive, marine, and mining.

Larson Electronics carries an extensive line of LED light towers, portable power distributions, explosion proof lights for hazardous locations, portable work lights and industrial grade LED area lights.
