An LLC converter

ac-dc supplyThe main chip on this reference design is a UCC29950 which provides control for a CCM boost power factor correction stage followed by an LLC converter stage. The integrated LLC controller also uses soft switching for low EMI noise. Dubbed the PMP11303, this high-efficiency AC/DC power supply reference design sports 25 V/13.5 A and 12 V/1 A outputs. LLC+PFC combo IC UCC29950 is applied for the main power stages with 25 V/13.5 A output while a UCC28730 isolated-flyback controller handles auxiliary power with 12 V/1 A output. This design has a no-load power consumption of just 152 mW@230 Vac and over 93% peak efficiency. This reference design also meets 80PLUS Gold requirement for 115 Vac internal power supplies.
